About G2 Safeguards

G2 Safeguards was founded in 2010, and has been providing quality business defense and protection seminars. Located in Orange County, CA, G2 Safeguards was founded by Glen Garrity, a retired Newport Beach police officer with more than 21 years experience.

In 2008, Glen was part of a group of Newport Beach Detectives that investigated an identity theft ring.  The theft ring used fake identifications and stolen credit cards to purchase expensive products at a high end mall.  It is estimated they fraudulently purchased over $1.1 million in products and resold them on eBay.  The case was eventually solved when store employees were trained to recognize a fake identification.  When the next fraudulent purchase was attempted, the suspect was detained.  Investigation led to the search of a car, a house and a business. Eight people were arrested and counterfeiting property was recovered.

Due to the success of this 2008 case, Glen started G2 Identity Management in 2010 to educate others how to protect themselves from fraud.  G2 Safeguards seminars evolved from Fraudulent ID Training into other fields like Responsible Beverage Service Training (based on ABC laws). Due to recent tragic worldwide events, it has become obvious that people need to be trained how to act and respond should they be caught in an active shooter scenario.  G2 Safeguards added Active Shooter Response Training in 2016 to meet this need.

Over the past four years, Glen has educated thousands of people across the nation in various industries (law enforcement, hotels, property owners, mortgage, escrow, casinos, healthcare, notary, jewelry store owners, etc.). 

He lives in Orange County with his loving wife and two college graduate daughters.  He volunteers for a ministry that feeds, clothes and provides other personal services for the homeless.  Glen can be contacted at g2@g2safeguards.com.
